SAMANTHA GOLDSTEIN
Teaches
"FINDING THE FUNNY"
What makes us laugh when we watch a performance? It’s hard to define, but we know it when we see and hear it. This class is for actors who love to make people laugh. Here you’ll discover your own personal comedic voice, and learn how to bring it out for an audience. We’ll explore how stand-up and improv techniques can enhance acting, and how to use our face, body, vocal technique, and dramaturgy of the text itself to make a performance funnier. You’ll find the confidence to choose that comic moment or beat in your next audition or cold read, and participate in a showcase to show off your comedic chops.
