"Playwriting 101"
TAKE YOUR WRITING TO THE NEXT LEVEL!
Playwriting 101 is a 6-week course designed for beginning to intermediate playwrights. The foundation of dramatic writing is characters in conflict, and during this workshop-style class you will learn about this and other basic dramatic principles in the only way you really can: by doing. You will write extensively, working with such concepts as character objectives and tactics, conflict, dramatic language and style in order to focus your dramatic vision and shape it into a completed short play. You will have the opportunity to share your work and receive extensive critique in a safe and supportive environment. More experienced writers are also welcome: everyone can benefit from getting back to the fundamentals!
