ANNOUNCEMENT TO OUR PATRONS
At the direction of Governor Gavin Newsom, performances of
Making God Laugh will be cancelled Saturday March 14 and Sunday March 15, in support of the well-being of the theatre-going public as well as those who work on the production, subject to ongoing assessment by County or State Health Authorities.
We take the health and safety of our patrons, staff and community seriously and urge everyone to continue to follow the guidelines set forth by public health officials.  Please consider donating your ticket purchase as small theatres such as ours greatly rely on tickets sales to continue to provide quality theatre to the public or you can request to receive a refund.

Dena Mattox (Ruthie) I would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge my very loyal friends (you know who you are) and Family who have, through the years, followed me on various stages around San Diego. You come to each and every show I've performed in! I'm humbled by the support and grateful for the love you so generously give. I can't thank you enough for supporting the arts and me! He was seen before that at Onstage Playhouse in 9 to 5 the musical. Some of Lee’s favorite roles were Tevye in Fiddler on the Roof, Daddy Warbucks in Annie and ensemble in Jesus Christ Superstar at Mount Helix (leper #2 and guard #3). In real life, Lee is an AP physics teacher and football coach. He has two daughters and lives in Eastlake with his lovely wife Brook.

Erica Livingstone (Stage Manager) Erica is happy to begin her second season with Point Loma Playhouse. In her free time Erica can be found writing, and producing in the film world. She would like to thank Jerry and Dottie for their confidence and support, Pati for trusting her with this beautiful show and would like to give a shout out to the rest of the Point Loma Playhouse family for their undying hard work. And to you, the audience, thank you for coming to the theatre today, and enjoy the show! “A day creating, is a day well spent.”

Mary Dietz (Scenic Design) Mary is native to St. Louis, Missouri, and holds a master’s degree in English. She spent a long career teaching writing. When she moved to San Diego in 2003, she studied acting with Holly Ritter to get an insider perspective on what makes a good play or screenplay. Mary first came to the Point Loma Playhouse as a writer with the 24 Experiment in 2012. Since then she has taken PLA workshops, worked the box office, served as house manager, ushered, and has painted the sets for nearly all of the PLA productions since 2015. She is engaging in every aspect of theatre craft in preparation for her own plays going into production.

Gunnar Ramstrum (Set/Managing Director} Gunnar has performed in workshops and productions and has received awards in both comedy, drama and writing. Gunnar received three "24 Experiment" first place awards as writer, and four "48 Hour Film Festival" awards as music composer, and was director of local access TV show which won "people's choice award". Gunnar performed in productions with Point Loma Actors, including: Silvia, Polish Joke and Greater Tuna. Gunnar sees acting as an evolution of human spirit and development. If an actor were a painter, there would be new colors added to every scene with an ever expanding canvas; if a sculptor, new forms are chipped away for every emotion and obstacle. When an actor becomes the character, humanity is opening to a greater being. Acting is beautiful.
